Our story begins on a small farm within a World Heritage Site, equidistant between the north and south coasts of Cornwall. Here, we perfected a non-intensive approach to animal husbandry. By rearing traditional breeds like Gloucestershire Old Spots and Large Blacks slowly and outdoors, we ensure exceptional marbling and a depth of flavour that modern commercial methods simply cannot match.

The Art of Traditional Butchery

Today, our dedicated team—including the next generation of the Lugg family—operates from a modern butchery in Newham, Truro. While we have expanded, our "field-to-fork" ethos remains unchanged. Every cut of meat, from our famous Cornish Hogs Pudding to our dry-cured bacon and succulent roasting joints, is prepared in-house using tried-and-tested family recipes.
