All About Organic Emmer Flour:
Emmer is an ancestor of modern bread wheat and was one of the first domesticated crops.
Emmer is a close relative to Durum wheat and has been grown for centuries in remote parts of Italy Known as Farro in Italy this wheat is often referred to as the ancestor of modern wheats. Farro comes from the Latin “Far” hence the Italian word for flour – Farina.
