What Is Organic Brown Glutinous Long Rice ?
While often called "sticky rice", it is an popular and easily cultivated type of rice grown on the hillsides and high plateaus of northern and north-eastern Thailand
Sticky rice comes in both short-grain and long-grain varieties. Thai people prefer the long-grain rice; the short-grain variety is more commonly used in Chinese and Japanese cooking.
Why Should I Get Organic Brown Glutinous Long Rice ?
Sticky rice is consumed in other parts of Thailand as well, but usually it is sweetened and flavoured with coconut milk for sweet snacks or desserts.
The rice grains themselves are uniquely opaque, and they take on a very sticky consistency when cooked.
Despite the name, glutinous rice is gluten free.
