What Is Light Walnuts - 80% Halves?

A lovely, light, golden colour as they should be, walnuts are a very nutritious food and are especially good for your brain. They certainly stand out with their odd, misshapen and knobbly appearance, but make up in their yummy crunchy yet mild taste. These walnuts contain 80% halves. 

Why Should I Get Light Walnuts - 80% Halves ?

Unlike many, our walnuts come with the skin on, as it has been found to contain 90% of the phenols, including key phenolic acids, tannins, and flavonoids. The flaky, waxy skin can be slightly bitter to taste which is why many recipes call for this to be removed, however it is recommended eating the skin for maximum walnut goodness.

They are ever so delicious on their own, but make a magnificent baking ingredient,  best for cakes and confectionary, mixing especially well with chocolate & cacao.

Walnuts are a rich source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
