The Makers' Inspiration
Less a moment of inspiration than the inevitability of a British person wanting to cure beef. From prototyping years ago in secret wardrobes and outbuildings, to perfecting the recipe when Bray Cured was born. The first product we ever sold, in fact, in a drizzly car park at Maidenhead Farmers' Market.
 
How We Make It
Start with exceptional British heritage beef, sourced locally from a dairy farm. Trimmed expertly, then cured simply in lashings of local wine. Dried slowly, then sliced thinly. It's all that is needed.
"These are dark, thick slices of bresaola, with a good proportion of silky fat. We felt the cure was judiciously done, and on the nose and the palate the beef offered plenty of savoury depth and length."

Delivery + Shipping
Because we're a marketplace with many different vendors, the items in your basket may come from multiple warehouse locations, in more than one shipment.
We attempt to make this clear to you throughout the process via the following:
On each product page we show the vendor details, the estimated shipping and delivery dates and the shopping cost for a given product.
We display estimated delivery times in basket, checkout and confirmation email
At checkout we display the number of deliveries and associated costs (if any) with each shipment.
Individual vendors may offer free delivery when a minimum threshold or amount. If so, this is messaged in the lime green shipping and delivery information just below the buy buttons on a product page. ArtisanBox at a store level offers free delivery on any basket of products valued at over £100 (excl. shipping charges) using code FREEDEL at checkout.
Subscriptions
We offer Subscribe & Save subscriptions on many products to make it easy for you to repurchase your favourites. There are no minimum order requirements and subscriptions are fully manageable through the subscriptions tab in your account. Subscriptions can be cancelled or paused at anytime.
