Our Cherry Red handmade ceramic coaster features a glossy, rich glaze with bold, saturated colour and a smooth, luminous finish.
Hand-thrown in stoneware clay and glazed on the top surface only, this durable coaster is perfect for protecting your surfaces from heat and moisture. Ideal for mugs, tumblers, or cold drinks, it adds a bold pop of colour to your coffee table, desk, or dining area.

Please note: pieces are handmade and slight variations in glaze tone and shape reflect the artisanal process and natural materials. Due to clay shrinkage, the Rustic range comes up slightly smaller than the Classic range. Colours may appear slightly different in photos due to lighting conditions.

About Katie L Thompson Designs
My love for pottery came a little later—and quite unexpectedly. In 2017, my mum gifted me a pottery class for my 21st birthday. At first, I wasn’t sure—getting covered in clay and making small talk didn’t exactly appeal—but I quickly found myself hooked. Before long, I’d bought my own wheel and set up a home studio where I could spend every spare moment practising.
I’ve always been drawn to creative pursuits. Growing up, I tried my hand at drawing, sewing, lace making, basket weaving, enamelling, and countless other crafts—each one shaping my artistic journey and deepening my appreciation for handmade work.
Pottery became my escape from the routine of my day job in accounting. It gave me space to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with a more hands-on, creative way of working. Crafting ceramics is now my way of finding balance. When I’m at the wheel, I focus on creating pieces that are both functional and beautiful. My small garden studio, nestled in the Berkshire countryside, is where I immerse myself in the creative process. I want each of my pieces to bring a sense of calm and warmth to everyday moments.

Katie L Thompson Designs terms- Standard Delivery - £4.95 (FREE over £50). Delivery within 3-5 working days via Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked.
- Express Delivery - £5.95. Delivery within 2-4 working days via Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked.
Returns
Katie L Thompson Designs terms- You can request a return within 14 days of receiving your item. Items must be in the condition you received them, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.
- To start a return, email customer@artisanbox.io with your order number. Returns sent without a request first won't be accepted.
- Return postage is your responsibility - please use an insured, tracked service. You'll receive a full refund for the item, but original shipping costs can't be refunded.
- Please check your order on arrival and get in touch straight away if anything is faulty, damaged or incorrect.
- Custom items, sale items and gift cards can't be returned.

3. Direct-to-Door Delivery: Because our artisans prioritise freshness, your items are shipped straight to you. If you order from multiple makers, your treats may arrive in separate packages, ensuring each one travels the shortest distance possible to stay at its best.
Individual shipping rates apply per artisan to ensure they can use their preferred specialist couriers.
