The journey started simply: Steve cleared the land to create a haven for his animals and began experimenting with the fruit and vegetables he grew. After perfecting his recipes, he took his small-batch jams and chutneys to local market stalls. The response was immediate and overwhelming. Today, Friars Farm is no longer just a kitchen-table venture; it is a prestigious brand that supplies elite venues like the Silverstone Circuit and Towcester Racecourse. Their "Northampton Marmalade" has even garnered international acclaim, earning a bronze at the World Marmalade Awards.
Innovation remains at the heart of their story. In 2021, the business moved into a purpose-built unit at Phipps Brewery, allowing Steve to expand into the Northampton Cheese Company and the Northampton Charcuterie Company. Despite this growth, the brand stays true to its roots, using locally sourced ingredients and traditional methods to ensure every jar and slab of cheese is free from artificial additives. From viral successes like the "Jeyes's Northamptonshire Sauce" to their artisanal salamis, Friars Farm represents a commitment to heritage, quality, and the vibrant flavors of the English countryside.
