BEST OPTION IF YOU HAVE A SHOPIFY OR WOO COMMERCE STORE

PROS

  • Orders from ArtisanBox arrive directly into your Shopify or WooCommerce store.

  • You can sync your product catalogue directly to ArtisanBox meaning no manual product addition.

  • Inventory syncs between your store and ArtisanBox automatically.

  • When you fulfil orders from ArtisanBox via your site, your tracking information is shared with ArtisanBox automatically.

    In short, this makes it really easy to work with ArtisanBox and reduces any duplication of effort at your end to virtually zero! In addition, it takes all the leg work out of setting up -- you're entire product catalogue can by synced in just minutes.

    CONS

  • When we sync we share your product catalogue as it exists on your store. Should there be limitations around the merchandising of products on ArtisanBox we will need to work together on a solution fix the catalogue at your end (e.g. special formatting in titles, descriptions, artwork in images limiting use in ad feeds etc)

THIS IS THE BEST OPTION IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SHOPIFY OR WOOCOMMERCE SITE.

  • The Vendor Portal is the one stop shop for your relationship with ArtisanBox.

  • Manage your company and brand profile.

  • Upload and Manage you product catalogue

  • Manage Inventory level.

  • Process orders and apply customer tracking

  • View and Manage Payment Information.













ADDING PRODUCTS VIA THE VENDOR PORTAL


This is the best option for those who aren't syncing, and have a relatively small set of products and/or most products are without variations.

With the ADD PRODUCTS FUNCTION IN THE VENDOR PORTAL it only takes a few minutes to add each product. The following steps will highlght how to submit your products. Please ensure you read the do's and don'ts section below for special tips.

  1. fROM THE VENDOR DASHBOARD, CLICK ON 'PRODUCTS' IN THE LEFT NAVIGATION

  2. THEN CLICK 'ADD PRODUCTS'.

  3. YOU WILL SEE A BLANK PAGE AS PER THE ADD PRODUCTS SCREENSHOTS TO THE RIGHT.

  4. MAKE SURE YOU SELECT 'ARTISANBOX VENDOR LOAD' IN THE VERY FIRST FIELD IN THE YOP LEFT OF THE PAGE. IF THIS FIELD IS LEFT BLANK THEN YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SAVE OR SUBMIT THE PRODUCT.

  5. FROM HERE IT'S FAIRLY STRAIGHT-FORWARD TO FILL OUT PRODUCT INFORMATION. IMAGES CAN BE UPLOADED FROM YOUR DEVICE AND SIMPLY DRAGGED AND DROPPED IN PLACE.

  6. THE DESCRIPTION FIELD IS WHERE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS NEED TO BE FILLED OUT.

  1. WE HAVE A NUMBER OF CUSTOM META FIELDS THAT WE USE INTERNALLY FOR MERCHANDISING PRODUCTS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL THESE OUT BUT IF YOU DO HAVE GREAT TASTE AWARDS OR YOU HAVE PRODUCTS THAT ARE VEGAN/VEGE FRIENDLY, IT'S VERY HELPFUL TO KNOW!

  2. IF YOU HAVE PRODUCT VARIATIONS LIKE SIZE OR FLAVOUR FOR INSTANCE-- RATHER THAN HAVING A SEPARATE PRODUCT ON SITE FOR EACH VARIATION ITS OFTEN BETTER HAVE THEM JOINED IN A SINGLE PRODUCT ON SITE (E.G. IF YOU'RE BUYING DIFFERENT SIZED BAGS OF COFFEE). IF YOU WANT TO SET UP VARIATIONS THEN MAKE SURE SURE YOU TURN YOUR 'VARIANTS' TOGGLE ON. THIS WILL THEN PROMPT YOU TO FULL OUT INVENTORY, PRICING AND PACKAGING INFORMATION FOR EACH VARIANT.

  3. AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, THERE IS A TICK BOX FOR 'CHARGE TAX ON PRODUCT'. IF YOUR ITEM IS ZERO RATED / SHOULDNT HAVE VAT COLLECTED AGAINST IT THEN ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE THE BOX IS NOT TICKED.

Once you have completed a product select the 'UPDATE AND REQUEST CHANGES' BUTTON at the bottom. This submits the product to ArtisanBox to review.

IMPORTANT
DO'S & DON'TS

DO'S

  • Set product status to DRAFT. ArtisanBox will set products live when ready.

  • Images: (ideal)

    • ALL product images ideally are cropped SQUARE as a rule.

    • Ideally images are scaled so that they are web spec (72 DPI).

    • Ideally primary images are on a white background with secondary images being feature, or insitu shots.

  • If you have BARCODES(EANS)for your products please insert the 12-13 digit numbers in the barcode field.

  • Ensure the “Charge tax on product” tick box is UNTICKED

  • Please TAG your items with any relevant keywords (this helps search as well as our categorisation process at ArtisanBox)

DON'TS

  • DON’t use the “Cost of item” field. This field should be left at “0” for marketplace items.

  • DON’T fill out the ‘Category’ field. ArtisanBox will categorise your items once submitted.

ADDING VIA PRODUCT BULKLOAD

IIf you can't sync or don't want to sync but have a fairly large and/or complex catalogue then you can upload your product catalogue by bulkload spreadsheet. The spreadsheet needs to be in an exact format so if you are interested in this approach tehn reach out to us at vendors@artisanbox.io and we'll help you get underway.
