Hinxden Farm Dairy

Hinxden Farm Dairy

HinxDen Farm Dairy is a family affair, run for four generations by the Manfords in Benenden, Kent. Husband and wife, Richard and Dee, currently manage the farm with help from their two daughters, Rebecca and Katy. Starting with just six cows in 1930, the family now have two award-winning herds of 250 Pedigree Holstein and Guernsey cows.

@hinxdenfarmdairy has been a hidden secret within the local Kent community for years. They hand deliver their fresh dairy products to the local community within a 10-mile radius of the farm) using seven specialised refrigerated vans.

At ArtisanBox, we wanted to share their gem of a mature cheddar-style hard cheese called Tam’s Tipple — named after Thomasine (Tam) Manford, who was in the family business from 1981. Beautifully creamy from their Guernsey milk, Tam’s Tipple is lovely accompaniment to your weekend (or anyday!) cheeseboard.
