Set in the idyllic, rural hamlet of Forthay, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in the rolling Gloucestershire countryside, Forthay is a beautiful 17th Century grade 2 listed farmhouse come B&B. Part of the Lamplugh hosting double-act at Forthay B&B, Deborah Lamplugh, as a cancer survivor, is interested in nutrition and health combined with a love for concocting new recipes. With her B&B kitchen as the test bed, Deborah trialled and refined a number of granola and muesli recipes which today has evolved into the Forthay Granola brand. The Granolas and Muesli all remain handmade-to-order for their passionate customer base.
Forthay Granola has been awarded a number of Great Taste awards and here at ArtisanBox HQ we see this as no great surprise! We’ve trialled every flavour within the Forthay Granola range and there isn’t a dud in sight with the Pecan, Pumpkin Seed & Spiced Apple Granola and the Superseed & Goji Berry Granola being honourable mentions.
But for this month our feature products are the decadent Luxury Muesli – Honey Glazed Nuts & Seeds (Great Taste * Award) with jumbo oats, seeds, coconut and a lot more creating a fantastically healthy yet tasty muesli! Our second feature from their range is the Cacao, Orange & Baobab Granola (Great Taste ** Award).
